He became famous as an outstanding chronicler, folklorist, novelist, literary critic, playwright, politician, poet, memoirist, children's writer, journalist, writer and university teacher. Nevertheless, the Brazilian writer and politician was mostly known for his unusual fashion sense and his pleasant personality.
